Visitor Info
The Museum is situated at the Cross in Dunblane, across the road from the Cathedral.
On the edge of the new National Park of Loch Lomond and the Trossachs, there is much to
see in this ancient City, the Cathedral,
the Leighton Library and it is only a short drive to Sheriffmuir, the site of the Jacobite
battle in 1715.
CAR PARKING There is a car park less than 200 metres from the Cathedral.
OPENING TIMES - THE MUSEUM IS CLOSED FOR MAJOR
REDEVELOPMENT WORKS FOR SEASON 2008-9.
The Museum is dependent upon the generosity of visitors, is staffed
and run by volunteers and administered by a Board of Trustees. The Museum is fully
registered.
DISABLED ACCESS This was limited but it is hoped to have improved
facilities in place as a result of the
Appeal
and application to the Heritage Lottery Fund for help with our extension plan,
which includes a
lift within the extension and improved wheelchair access at the entrance.
